Gerald and his wife Mary have been married fifty-four years. They have two children -son and daughter-in law; daughter and son-in-law; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Dan is a Native Nebraskan, born in Lexington; graduate of Kearney High School, attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He retired after 25 years as a journeyman brick mason, and joined his wife Gloria's State Farm Insurance agency in 1990 as licensed staff member.Commissioned as Admiral in the Great Navy of Nebraska in 1990 for promoting travel to Nebraska by his French relatives, friends and foreign students; the ceremony took place in Torçay, France, as he walked the baguette instead of the Plank!
