The Nebraska Admirals Association Executive Board is made up of the

Public Affairs Officer and Editor (Compiles articles and edit the quarterly newsletters.)



Operations Officer (Liaison between Executive Board and Port committees)



Chief Yeoman (Recording Secretary)



Quartermaster (Supply Keeper)

Scholarship Officer (Liaison between Executive Board and the Nebraska University Foundation)



Historian.



Webmaster although not a board member, reports to the board, as well as, maintains the website.



The NAA Executive Board is elected every two years during the annual meeting of members, unless a vacancy occurs. If a vacancy occurs, a replacement will be appointed by the Board to fill the vacant term.



The NAA Executive Board meets four times a year; board membership are unpaid positions.

Annette was born and raised in Spalding, Ne.  She moved to Grand Island in 1979 to work at the Veterans Home.  In 1988 she married Kenneth Partridge in Las Vegas.  After 36 years working at the Grand Island Veterans Home as a Certified Medication Aide,  Annette retired in 2015. Annette was commissioned as an Admiral in the Great Navy of Nebraska by Gov. Ricketts for her work implementing a Sunday  activity/social time with the members and staff of the Pershing Building at the Veterans Home. She is active in the Nebraska Admiral Association Grand Island Port, enjoys crocheting and "seeing Nebraska."

Gloria is a native Nebraskan with an Associate in Business Degree from Kearney State College (now University of Nebraska at Kearney). Married Dan on Nebraska Statehood Day (March 1). One daughter, Michelle, in Omaha. Second female agent appointed by State Farm Insurance in Nebraska (now retired). First female to join Kearney Jaycees, twice attained "Exhausted Rooster" status. Former member of Kearney Business & Professional Women; Woman of the Year 2002. Member, B.P.O. Doe's, Kearney Drove #14; President 1993. Former member of Central Nebraska Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors; President 1989 and 2000. Chartered Life Underwriter degree from the American College, 1989. Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow, 1987. Member, Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce. Member of Fort Kearny Geneological Society, president in 2015.

Commissioned as Admiral in the Great Navy of Nebraska 1986 as co- chair for Kearney Jaycees project to erect Nebraska's First Vietnam Veterans' Memorial at Apollo Park, Kearney, Nebraska, and host the Moving Wall (replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.)

Don holds a PhD degree in Management Science and Information Systems from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.  He is an Emeritus Professor of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he taught in the College of Business and Technology  from 1992 to 2008.  Dr. Sluti has also taught at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic and the University of South Dakota. Don also serves as our Webmaster.

Fred Roeser is a graduate of Bellevue University and Central Community College Hastings. He taught electronics, computer repair and networking, and information systems at Central Community College Grand Island for 37 years. He was a founding member of the Mid-Nebraska Users of Computers in 1984 and president from 1987 to 2020. He is currently the president of the Hall County Historical Society Inc. a position he has held since 2003.  He is also the president of the Mormon Trails Across Nebraska, 2023 to present. He is also a graduate of the Grand Island Leadership Tomorrow program.

Dan is a Native Nebraskan, born in Lexington; graduate of Kearney High School, attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He retired after 25 years as a journeyman brick mason, and joined his wife Gloria's State Farm Insurance agency in 1990 as licensed staff member.  He is now retired.

Commissioned as Admiral in the Great Navy of Nebraska in 1990 for promoting travel to Nebraska by his French relatives, friends and foreign students; the ceremony took place in Torçay, France, as he walked the baguette instead of the Plank!

Born and raised in eastern South Dakota.  Initial medical training received at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Worked in cardiac Radiography in several states as well as overseas. University of Nebraska at Kearney alumni.  Married to husband, Donald, 43 years.  Resides in Kearney and is retired Registered Nurse from CHI Good Samaritan Hospital Neurology Trauma Unit.  Commissioned as an Admiral in the Great State of Nebraska by Governor Pete Ricketts in 2015.  Active participant in various organizations.  Enjoys reading, sewing, singing, travel, swimming and gardening.
