Travel and Tourism Scholarships

Each spring, the Nebraska Admirals Association awards scholarships, through an application, interview and essay submission process, to students with junior status in the Travel & Tourism program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a student with junior status in the Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management program at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.   The Scholarship Program currently offers two $1,000 Scholarships. Money for the scholarships comes mainly from member donations. So, please send your check or use the "doante" button at the bottom of the page.

The scholarship funds are applied $500 to the fall semester tuition of the students' senior year with the final $500 applied to the spring semester tuition (last semester before graduation.

Interested and qualified students should contact their deparment chair for further details in the fall semester of their junior year at university.

The project provides the public an opportunity to create a handmade ornament to send to a sailor, a soldier, or a veteran. Ornaments are made and then sent to the crew of the U.S.S. Nebraska and veterans who are residents of State Veterans Homes.
